Viper Bar is a non-profit underground operation located in the Boston vicinity that supports local artists, musicians and singer-songwriters throughout the region.  Created in the fall of 1999, due to an increasing displeasure with recent popular trends and an overall discontent with the current music scene, Viper Bar sought something more.  In an age of mindless metal, electronic music and apathy, Viper Bar went back to basics, emphasizing primarily an acoustic based sound while drawing artists and musicians from throughout the area to promote awareness about original local music.  The idea being, to return to our roots and remind folks that there is indeed an alternative to what is offered by the mainstream music industry and to what we are force fed over the airwaves.  Through a large amount of pro-bono work by ourselves and our friends, Viper Bar provides a unique atmosphere for local artists, musicians and songwriters to rehearse, record and play live shows.
